A trip to Chinatown always means tasty treats! This first-of-its-kind wooden play set was inspired by Honolulu's vibrant Chinatown, which has served as a gateway to the islands and a cultural home for immigrants from China and other Asian countries for over a hundred years. From the clatter of dim sum carts, to the drumbeat of lion dances, Chinatown offers its own special rhythm and buffet of sensory delights!
Created by a Hawai‘i mom and school teacher, Keiki Kaukau (meaning “kid food”) offers a unique line of quality toys representing Hawai’i and Pacific Rim cultures. Because children begin to understand the world through play, Keiki Kaukau underscores the value of kids seeing themselves and their culture reflected in their toys and belongings. The brand features a joyful collection of children's products including books, puzzles, games and more -- all inspired by island living. Because good nourishment is at the foundation of healthy child development, Keiki Kaukau has partnered with the Hawai‘i Food Bank to donate five meals for every Keiki Kaukau and More Keiki Kaukau food set sold.
