The Chinese characters 熱炒 mean "hot stir-fry" and the food is much of what makes Taiwan's cuisine today, from local seafood and vegetables, to Taiwanese takes on Chinese and Japanese food. It's a rowdy time with low tables, even lower stools, and lots of Taiwan Beer.

Her work is inspired by the cultures and communities she’s around, as well as her own inner musings. She loves using color, experimenting with different mediums, and playing with a wide range of styles – from simple line drawings to maximalist compositions.
She began drawing as a way to tell stories, with a focus on her Taiwanese American upbringing and Chinatowns in New York and California. She creates to explore her place in the world and illustrate both the beauty and weirdness of everyday life.
