On Waverly is a cozy, thoughtfully curated shop and creative space in the heart of San Francisco’s historic Chinatown. Opened in December 2023 by sisters Cynthia and Jennifer Huie, it’s a place that highlights the voices and talents of Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian (AAPINH) artists, authors, and makers.

Our book collection focuses on AAPINH stories and storytelling—everything from diaspora experiences and family histories to community-building and everyday joy. We love choosing books that reflect the richness, complexity, and creativity of our communities.

Alongside books, we carry a mix of art, stationery, and gifts—and host gatherings that spark conversations, connection, and a sense of belonging. On Waverly isn’t just a shop; it’s a space for community to come together and be inspired.
