"First World Problems from a First Born Daughter" is a 20-page, half-size, full-color zine about daily struggles. From petty complaints to quiet wins, these slice-of-life comics reflect the joys, grudges, and tiny acts of rebellion that come with being an everyday millennial.
Katie Quan (she/her) is a third-generation Chinese American born and raised on Ramaytush Ohlone land (San Francisco). She is a visual artist, community advocate, and educator.
As a former instructor of Asian American Studies at City College of San Francisco and San Francisco State University, Katie founded REALSOUL, a curriculum-based arts organization for K-8. The mission of REALSOUL is to foster cross-cultural solidarity and ignite collective action through curriculum, programming, and workshops.
